Using comments
The Comments panel lets you and your team leave feedback directly on a project without switching to a separate tool. Comments can be pinned to a specific moment in the video so reviewers can point to exactly what they mean — eliminating the back-and-forth of describing timecodes in emails.
Opening the Comments panel
Click the Comments icon in the top-right toolbar of the editor. It looks like a speech bubble. The panel opens on the right side of the editor alongside the timeline and layers. Clicking the icon again closes the panel.
Leaving a comment
- Click inside the comment input box at the bottom of the panel.
- Type your message.
- To pin the comment to the current playback position, click the clock icon in the input toolbar before sending. When timestamp pinning is active, the current timecode appears next to the icon and will be saved with the comment.
- Click the send button or press Ctrl + Enter to post the comment.
Once posted, the comment appears in the panel with the author's name, the time it was created, and — if you enabled timestamp pinning — a clickable timecode. Clicking the timecode jumps the playhead to that point in the video instantly.
Replying to a comment
- Find the comment you want to respond to.
- Click Reply beneath it. A reply indicator appears in the input box showing a preview of the comment you are replying to.
- Type your reply and submit it.
To cancel a reply before sending, click the X on the reply indicator to clear it.
Filtering comments
The panel has two tabs at the top:
- All — shows every comment and reply on the project
- Unresolved — shows only comments that have not yet been marked as resolved (this is the default view)
Switching between tabs helps you focus during review — use Unresolved to work through outstanding feedback and All to see the full history.
Resolving comments
When a piece of feedback has been addressed, mark it resolved to keep the panel tidy:
- Click the circular checkmark icon to the right of the comment.
- The comment moves out of the Unresolved view.
Resolved comments are still accessible in the All tab. To undo a resolution, open the three-dot menu on the comment and select Unresolved.
Deleting comments
Open the three-dot menu on any comment and select Delete. Replies can be deleted individually the same way using the three-dot menu that appears on each reply.
Tip: Keeping the Unresolved tab open during a review cycle makes it easy to track which notes still need attention. Make a habit of resolving each comment as you address it — when the Unresolved tab is empty, the review round is done.
