Inviting collaborators

PublishFi lets you bring teammates directly into a project so you can work together or collect feedback in one place. You can invite people by email and decide upfront what they are allowed to do — whether that is making edits alongside you or simply viewing and reviewing the work in progress.

Inviting someone to a project

  1. Open the project in the video editor.
  2. Click Share in the top-right toolbar. The Share popover opens on the Invite tab by default.
  3. Type the person's email address into the Email Address field.
  4. Click the permission selector next to the email field. It shows the current setting — for example, Can view.
  5. Choose the appropriate permission level from the dropdown:
    • Can view — the person can see the project but cannot make any changes
    • Can edit — the person can make edits and contribute to the project directly
  6. Press the invite button to send the invitation. A confirmation toast confirms the invite was sent.

Understanding permission levels

Can view is the right choice for clients, stakeholders, or anyone who needs to review the work without the ability to alter it. They can open the editor and watch the project, but all editing controls are locked for them.

Can edit is appropriate for team members who are actively working on the project alongside you — editors, designers, or producers collaborating on the same timeline.

Viewing who has access

The People with access section in the Invite tab lists everyone who currently has access to the project. Each person's name is shown along with their role. The person who created the project is labeled Owner and always retains full control.

Copying the project link

To share access quickly, click Copy Link at the bottom of the Invite tab. This copies a direct URL to the project editor. Anyone who already has access can use this link to open the project immediately without needing to be invited again.

Tip: The project link from the Invite tab leads directly to the editor — it is not the same as an export download link. Use export links (from the Export tab) when you want someone to download a finished video file, not collaborate on an open project.
