Bookmarking Audio Tracks
Finding a great track takes time. Bookmarking it means you only have to find it once. PublishFi stores your bookmarked audio in your account, accessible from any project — so your go-to tracks, favorite effects, and saved voiceovers are always a click away.
How to bookmark a music track
- Open the Music tab in the audio panel.
- Search or browse until you find a track you want to save.
- Click the three-dot menu button on the right side of the track row to open the options menu.
- Select Bookmark. A confirmation message confirms the track has been added.
If you change your mind immediately, the confirmation includes an Undo option that removes the bookmark without reopening the menu. To remove a bookmark at any time, open the three-dot menu again and select Remove from bookmarks.
Accessing your bookmarks
- Open the audio panel in any project.
- Click the bookmark icon tab — the rightmost tab in the panel, after Music, SFX, and Voiceover.
The Bookmarks tab is organized into sub-sections:
- Songs — your bookmarked music tracks, displayed with the same waveform preview and add-to-timeline controls as the main Music tab.
- SFX — sound effect clips you have saved.
- Voiceovers — voiceover compositions you have bookmarked.
- Playlists — any curated playlists you have saved for reference.
- Collections — named groups you create to organize your bookmarks.
Each section only shows the items you have bookmarked in that category. If a section is empty, it will tell you so with a prompt to start adding items.
Organizing with collections
Collections let you group bookmarked audio by project, mood, content series, or any system that works for you.
To create a collection:
- In the Bookmarks tab, switch to the Collections section.
- Click New Collection in the top right.
- Enter a name and an optional description, then click Create.
Collections appear as cards showing the collection name, description, and item count. To delete a collection, click the delete icon on its card. Deleting a collection does not remove the individual bookmarks from your account — the tracks simply return to their section tabs.
To add items to a collection:
From the Music search results or from your bookmarked songs list, open the three-dot menu on a track and look for the Add to collection option to assign it to a specific collection.
Why use bookmarks
The practical value of bookmarks grows over time. A collection of pre-vetted music tracks for short-form video, another for long-form content, and a third for a recurring series means you spend less time searching and more time editing. You can also bookmark SFX clips you frequently return to — crowd ambiences, transition sounds, notification tones — so they are always available without re-searching.
Tip: Build your bookmark library before a big edit session, not during one. Browsing and testing tracks is easier when you are not also trying to finish a video. Pre-selecting a shortlist of three to five tracks gives you creative options without decision fatigue.
